Kelsee Sweigard is a New York City-based actor, singer, dancer, and musician originally from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She found her passions early on, and stayed busy with lots of dance training, piano and voice lessons, pitching on her school's softball team, and as a champion competitive swimmer. In high school, Kelsee discovered her true love for Musical Theatre. She continued to dance, she sang two consecutive years in PMEA District, Regional, and All-State Choirs, and performed regularly throughout the mid-state.
Shenandoah Conservatory was Kelsee's home as a BFA Musical Theatre student. There, she performed in Sweet Charity, Into the Woods, The Secret Garden, The Diviners, American Idiot, The Best Little Whorehouse..., and Illyria. While in college, Kelsee taught herself to play guitar and nurtured her love for singing in pop/rock music styles. Kelsee also spent two seasons at Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre, her favorite credits including Man of La Mancha, Les Misérables, Mary Poppins, and Shrek.
Kelsee's professional credits include Flat Rock Playhouse's How to Succeed...(dir./choreo. Richard J. Hinds) and Gypsy (dir./choreo. Amy Jones), and Great Plains Theatre's Pump Boys and Dinettes (Rhetta Cupp). She has traveled the world with two contracts on Holland America Line, and made her US National Tour debut in Kinky Boots (dir. DB Bonds, choreo. Rusty Mowery) as Pat, which she closed with the final cast in June 2019. In NYC, Kelsee has performed in developmental workshop and concert performances of All Star: The Best Broadway Musical, Ragtime (Ellis Island - dir. Sammi Cannold), and Agent 355 (le Poisson Rouge). Currently, she is playing Maureen Johnson on the 20th Anniversary Tour of Rent. Kelsee is a client of CLA Partners Talent Management (see contact page).
